How to choose the right glove size

How to choose the right glove size

Choosing the correct glove size is essential for comfort and thermal protection. Whether you're looking for winter gloves or everyday wear, the right size is the foundation. Read on to learn how to easily measure your palm and choose the best size.

1. How to measure the circumference of your palm

  • Wrap a measuring tape around the widest part of your palm, just below the knuckles (without the thumb).

  • The tape should gently hug your hand, but it must not be too tight.

  • For a more accurate size selection, you can also measure the length of your middle finger – from the base to the tip.

2. Compare your measurements with the size chart

Size Palm circumference (cm) Middle finger length (cm) Description
S up to 17 cm 7 cm Small women’s size
M up to 19 cm 7.5 cm Regular women’s size
L up to 21 cm 8 cm Regular men’s size
XL over 21 cm 8.5 cm Large men’s size

💡 Tip: If your measurements fall between two sizes, consider the material of the gloves.

Materials and their properties

Virgin wool:
Our virgin wool gloves are stretchy only in the cuff, which makes them easier to put on. Over time, they will adjust to your hand, but their elasticity is limited.

Merino wool:
Our merino wool gloves are highly elastic. Thanks to this, size M may fit you even with a palm circumference of 20 cm, while with virgin wool, size L would be more suitable.

Most common mistakes when choosing a size

  • ❌ Measuring with spread fingers – measure with a relaxed hand.

  • ❌ Choosing a size that is too large – loose gloves reduce thermal comfort and may let cold air in.
