Subzero mittens in virgin wool, brushed on the inside with natural teasels, knitted in our own workshop in Borová u Poličky, Czech Republic.
Who they are for
For anyone who needs to keep their hands warm in winter, even during long hours outdoors.
When to wear them
In frost and for long hours outdoors.
What makes them special
Inside, the mittens are brushed with very fine natural teasels, which adds comfort and protection against the cold. The dense wool knit is finished using a special technology that improves thermal insulation and resistance to cold wind and powder snow. At the same time, the mittens stay breathable and the wool keeps you warm even when damp.
The mittens are designed around the real shape of the hand (Superanatomic™). The thumb is shaped towards the palm, so there are no folds and the mitten hugs your hand properly. The little finger sits lower, matching the natural position of your fingers. With longer wear, the mittens adapt to the shape of the wearer's hand.
Origin of the wool
The mittens are knitted from mulesing-free wool. The yarn meets the bluesign® environmental standard.

Subzero is also available as full-finger gloves, in a version with a Norwegian pattern and in hunting versions.
Care instructions
- Hand wash by gently squeezing in soapy water at a maximum of 30–40 °C.
- After washing, rinse in clean lukewarm water.
- Press out the water, do not wring.
- Lay the damp item on a flat surface, reshape it and leave it to dry slowly.

Measured on the mitten laid flat. The length does not include the cuff, which is approx. 6 cm. Only the cuff stretches.
How to choose your size
1. How to measure your hand circumference
Wrap a tape measure around the widest part of your palm, just below the knuckles (without the thumb). The tape should fit snugly, but not too tight.
2. Compare your measurement with the size chart
Tip: Lay a mitten that fits you well flat on a table and measure it across the palm. Compare the result with the Width row.
